SPC Ryan Lindberg
817th Engineer Company, North Dakota Army National Guard
Specialist Ryan E. Lindberg is from Jamestown, North Dakota. He resides in Fargo, North Dakota and attends North Dakota State University pursuing a degree in Construction Management and Engineering during his senior year.
Specialist Lindberg enlisted in the Army National Guard on May 27, 2005. He serves with the 817th Engineer Company (SAPPER) as a 12B, Combat Engineer. He served in Iraq for one year working as a gunner and driver clearing roads of Improvised Explosive Devices and was awarded the Combat Action Badge for action during the deployment. SPC Lindberg is also a member of the North Dakota shooting team and in 2010, his team placed first during the State match held at Camp Grafton, North Dakota. He has also served as a 21B, Combat Engineer and Track Vehicle Driver for the 817th Engineer Company. SPC Lindberg is Combat Life Saver qualified, Combatitives Level 1 certified, and a graduate from the Air Assault course in Fort Benning, GA.

SPC Lindberg’s civilian employment with 6D construction is based out of Valley City, ND where he played a vital role during the 2011 flood in Valley City.
